NZ's first card show

All over today!

It rained non stop for the first hour and no1 turned up in that first hour!
We were feeling sorry for ourselves...

Then the rain stopped and we ended up having about 5 guys check us out.

I really enjoyed myself.
I saw a MJ rookie, Kobe 1/1 patch, Lebron 4 color patch, a few Kobe + Lebron autos etc

I took a picture with my digital camera before the battery died lol
Took a couple more pics with my phone.
Not the world's best pics but I will post them tomorrow.

95% of the cards were basketball but I did see a David Beckham card and some kind of Topps Chrome Ichiro baseball card.
Rugby league and cricket cards outnumbered baseball for sure lol

For the Ebayers on here.... guess how much the Lebron 4 color patch (5 color if you count the second piece of GU) was selling for?
Guy wanted $30 for it!!

I was thinking of getting it and flipping but in my heart I couldn't do that.
So I told the guy even thou it books for $40.... it has waaaaay better sale and trade value cos of the patches.

Looks like there will be a show in different parts of Auckland (biggest city in NZ) every month.
I will go to the next one for sure.

send the rain here we need it bad in Texas. West Tx is on fire and I had to put one out yesterday on the side of the hiway with a 2# fire extinguisher and an old pair of coveralls that i used to beat the fire.

Glad you had fun. My dad owned 3 stores after he retired from the Army after 30 years. Everytime it started slow and worked its way up so much that it kept me busy operating them. The point is the word will spread and I expect it to get better with every event but the thing is, is to keep it fresh always have alot of things new and differnt so they will keep coming back. If you always put out the same things they will start loosing intrest.
