icing is when you shoot the puck from your side of the center ice (red) line over the opposing goal line without being touched by another player.an exception would be if the puck goes through the goal crease, icing is waived off

sweet, see you learn something new everyday...I always turned off icing and offsides when playing NHL on the ps2. Yeah seriously i would agree with the french canadians being worse
