I didnt serve but I would like to give a special thanks to
My dad 1956-1986 retried army CWIIII 3 tours in Nam
My Mon 1961-1963 Veit Nam
My Brother Chip Army 10 years of service First Gulf war and Afganistan
My Uncles Ken, Bill and William WWII
My grandfather WWI My dads side
My Grand father WWII My Moms side
My great Grand father war of 1898
My Great Great Grandfather Civil War
My Great Great Great Great Grandfather Revoultionary war and war of 1812
And not to mention all my family and that includes everyone here

The only person on my side of the family was my grandpa (WWII and Korean War). But I just wanted to tell a story about pure gratitude for the people that serve. On veterans day about 10 years ago my grandpa, grandma, mom, dad, brother, cousin and aunt went out to eat at for lunch on Veterans day. When our bill came the waitress told us that our bill was $0. A gentleman that was out with his family and because my grandpa was wearing his army hat he picked up our bill. It was so unexpected and just shows that there are still people out there that really and truely appreciate what the military personel really do for us!

Thank you for all that have served. I have numerous family members including my Father and Brother that have served along with friends. I have a really good friend that just got home Wed from Afghanistan and I get the pleasure of having a cold beer with him tonight! I think we all take our freedom from granted sometimes and I'm glad we have this holiday to put in perspective what is really going on with our country.

(I spent many years at "The Wall" in Washington DC, watching the VN Vets hug each other, welcoming each other home, because America did not give them the honor and respect they deserved when they returned home.)
