Tim Tebow 'earned' starting status

And John Fox have announced Tim Tebow has earned the starting quarterback position starting in training camp. What are your guy’s thoughts on this? I know Randy will be truly happy knowing this.

It's good to see that Elway and Fox have stopped playing games with the guy. By-the-way, does everyone know that the Broncos went 1-4 in their final 5 games?

I know with two games to go in the season Elway was saying that there was a chance that Tebow would be gone. Give the guy some good guidance and surround him with some good players and he may become a good quarterback.

UPDATE: After watching Mike and Mike (ESPN) this morning (1/17/11) I realized that we are talking "Training Camp". What? Do you really think this is giving the guy any confidence? I know it's too early to start talking "Regular Season Starter", but to proclaim T-Bone to be the Training Camp Starter is like telling a NASCAR Crew Member that "we are promoting you from left front tire changer to right front tire changer". I have the strangest feeling that T-Bone is on the trading block.

Look at the Oakland Raiders. At the end of the season the GM stated that the Coach was going to be back next year and they fired him last week.

I see your point...but the state of Colorado is infatuated with Tebow and if he gets traded then all hell would break out. Elway would be better off letting him start next year and if he cant hack it then trade (yes i understand that the value at that point would drop significantly), but you cant upset the masses like this.

there is NO opening in Detroit, thank you very much!...and if it was my choice Stanton or Hill would start before Staff Infection...oops..I mean....Stafford.
