Found these while cleaning the house

My girlfriend is from England where cricket, soccer and rugby are the big sports. Her grandfather passed away recently so they made a trip back to England for the funeral. While there her mom was cleaning the house and found this 1938 Album of Cricketers released by Player's Cigarettes. She knows I collect baseball cards so she brought it back to the states knowing I'd love to take a look at it.

It's not worth tons or anything but it's cool to see these old cards and it's awesome that a lot of them are in great condition (minus the fact that they're stuck onto pages with adhesive). I scanned a few pages to show everyone cause I thought maybe you'd find them interesting too.

It's a near complete 50 card set, just missing card 4 and 48 lol.

...and the cover states: "PRICE ONE PENNY"

Great looking cards! Are the cards glued to the page?

you can steam them off, most likely. Use an iron- don't hold it over a tea kettle like the movies.

Now that is a find!! I love that sort of stuff and, like you said, fantastic condition. Somebody will like those, but since they belong to your gf's grandpa, I'd keep em around. Thanks for sharing the pics.

So cool looking! Love that old school look. And considering it was 1938, the colors were very bright

I plan on keeping them since my girlfriend's grandfather actually hand collected them when he was younger. I wish my grandfather had saved his baseball cards like hers did lol. I just thought everyone here would really appreciate a look at them.

Thank you for the tip. I may try it out if we decide to remove them at some point.
