Five pitchers you would have liked to watch

Hi gang,

If there were five pitchers that you'd never seen pitch (but would have liked to), who would they be? Here are mine, in no particular order:

Christy Mathewson
Cy Young
Walter Johnson
Lefty Grove
Addie Joss

There are others of course, like Bob Feller, Ed Walsh, Hoss Radbourn. But I said five. I have been fortunate to see Koufax, Gibson, Marichal, Ryan, Seaver and others since the 1960s pitch.

Fortunately I have seen Smoltz, Maddux, Cliff Lee, Randy Johnson, and many other newer pitchers. I threw Avery in there because of the braves dominance when he was around. I have seen him on TV, but I assume this is for who we would have wanted to see in person.

Hoss Radbourn! Yes! Did you read the book on him? Excellently written, lot of history there.

Man, this is a hard one. So many greats one could list. Dock Ellis would most definitely be on the list. That old rotation of the Dodgers with Koufax, Drysdale and Podres would have been nice. I guess add Cy Young to the list.
