Our friends over at sports collectors Daily have listed a sad story about a collector that won the 1952 Topps Mantle from last year's give away. Seems Topps decided to give the IRS an inflated value of $22,000 and the poor guy couldn't afford to keep the card. He listed it on the bay and had to sell it for the tax bill. Oh well, he got to own it for a little while.
